I first off would like to apologize for the silence of the last few weeks. My queue of doodles from Inktober ran out and I’ve been so busy and all over the place during the last month or so that I forgot that they would be running out soon.
So in the interrum, while I acrew more doodles, a few updates on things in general:
As many know in addition to my duties with Hitmouse I’m also a freelance artist on top of running my own side business, All Nighter Productions. My husband and I have also been fighting to try and settle the matter of a house we’re trying to get. Thankfully I can say we are approaching the end of that particular fight, and while I don’t want to say anything yet about the outcome, I do want to reassure you all that read this blog that with that bit of stress being taken off my plate soon my stress and ability to produce content should be back to normal. February has been a bit of a challenge this year, because in addition to my usual preparations for DREAMATION, one of my cousins is getting married the week after, in Wisconsin. Needless to say, all my time has been going into trying to keep ahead on my various projects for clients in between all these things and unfortunately that means this blog has taken a bit of a hit.
So for the next few weeks I do not know what my schedule will be like other than “busy”, so I will continue to upload a lot of old pieces, most of which are related to Undertale (thanks largely to the fact that the characters are very easy to draw for me, and I spent most of last year obsessed with the game and deep in the fandom community centered around it). One is a bit of a play on the origins of several of the characters, and the other is an exploration of the nature of the game and the world where it is set in (specifically the fact that the game mechanics are an integrated part of the world setting).
Also, if you happen to be heading to Dreamation this weekend in Morristown NJ, be sure to stop by Artist Alley and say hi! I’ll be chillin’ with all the other awesome artists causing mischief and selling adorable monsters.
